Abdulmalik Al-Hadhlool: An Inspiring Story
Stepping Out of the Comfort Zone for Excellence and Innovation:
His mission is success and making a difference in the healthcare field, contributing to the enhancement of the quality of life through participation in scientific research and international conferences that make a difference and uplift the community in the field of creativity and innovation.
Abdulmalik Al-Hadhlool, the ambitious young man, distinguished student, and dedicated leader, is one of the recipients of the Rashed Al-Rashed Award and the president of its association.
About his beginnings, he says:
“At a cultural forum, I met a colleague who told me about an award that sends outstanding students to the UK to study English for a month. The idea and mission of the award were new to me. I never imagined I could travel alone outside the Kingdom. Despite my hesitations, I registered just before the deadline, and by the grace of God, I qualified for the interview after a rigorous selection process.
Those early experiences shaped me into the leader I am today as the head of the award association in its sixth edition. After the interview, I delved deeper into the award's background and previous reports, which only fueled my determination and passion for the days ahead.
Reflecting on this challenge, he says: “How can a 16-year-old travel alone, far from his family for a whole month? How can he manage his life and be responsible for himself, not just outside his home, but outside the Kingdom? This was a major challenge for me. The greatest challenge was stepping out of my comfort zone into a new world, with new colleagues, a new experience, and a new life awaiting me. Despite these questions, my passion and excitement for what lay ahead kept me motivated.
Our hero went, but he did not return the same... This was the starting point.
Abdulmalik Al-Hadhlool says: “Traveling abroad wasn’t the actual beginning. The real start was upon my return to my homeland, specifically Al-Ahsa, where I had to apply the skills I learned there and the experiences I gained from colleagues who had participated in previous editions.
I began setting goals for myself on skill, educational, and academic levels. The award taught me a lot, especially leadership skills, which I strive to develop and apply practically in my life today.
Abdulmalik Al-Hadhlool, a medical student and president of the Rashed Al-Rashed Association, speaks about his future steps:
“Yes, I have a clear, well-defined plan. I try to learn from experienced individuals and seize every opportunity available to me. I also seek to benefit from all the opportunities provided by the Abdulmohsen Al-Rashed Humanitarian Foundation. I hope the foundation continues to support and motivate me to excel, not just in Al-Ahsa, but in the Kingdom and the world at large.”
Where is the Rashed Al-Rashed Award Association heading?
Today, the award embraces both male and female students who are studying in the UK across all editions. It is a gathering point for every creative individual in their field. My hope is that this association continues and includes creatives from outside Al-Ahsa as well.
Lastly, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Sheikh Abdulmohsen Al-Rashed for initiating this endeavor, and I thank the foundation team and everyone who contributed to the success of the award, ensuring its name remains renowned to this day. I hope it continues to be a hub for creativity and innovators.
