Mohammed Al-Aqnam: The Journey of Passion Discovery
Mohammed Al-Aqnam: The Journey of Passion Discovery
Mohammed Al-Aqnam is a living example of the effective partnership between Al-Ahsa's Education Administration and the Abdul Moneim Al-Rashed Humanitarian Foundation. This partnership created a supportive environment that enabled him to engage in unique experiences, paving the way for excellence and remarkable achievements.
Mohammed is a gifted student who believes that something is waiting for him—something he has not yet discovered. However, he understands well that it will not come to him; he must pursue it. He believes that life is full of opportunities and that each one is a stepping stone leading him to where he envisions himself.
Since childhood, Mohammed has been different—exceptional. He was never satisfied with regular school classes, so he joined enrichment programs. His curiosity drove him to explore multiple hobbies in search of his true passion. He tried drawing and excelled, experimented with programming and was amazed, and in every phase, he emerged with a distinction, a certificate, or words of appreciation.
Mohammed chose the engineering path, which opened a new world for him—a world of creativity and innovation where he found himself. One day, he came across an announcement for the Mawhiba Summer Program. Without hesitation, he decided to participate, and that experience became a turning point in his journey. His excellence led his teachers to nominate him for the Fab Lab Al-Ahsa programs, a space that became a laboratory for his curious mind—where experimentation had no limits and learning had no end.
He joined the "Future Engineer" track within the Mawhiba Enrichment Program, established as part of the strategic partnership between Mawhiba and the Abdul Moneim Al-Rashed Humanitarian Foundation. That was the beginning—the beginning of a roadmap to self-fulfillment. He embraced the experience and discovered new dimensions of his passion until he faced his biggest challenge:
The Gulf Hackathon for Employing Artificial Intelligence in Education in Collaboration with Al-Ahsa Education Administration
Six countries. Hundreds of participants. Numerous ideas and diverse experiences. It was not easy, but it was exciting. Those were days filled with experiences that drew broad lines in Mohammed’s journey. Despite the tough competition, when asked about this experience, he responded with words that reflected great maturity:
"The experience is worth it... We must try in order to understand and learn."
For Mohammed, success is not a destination but an ongoing journey. He believes that he must try everything, explore everything around him, and take risks without fear because opportunities exist—it is up to us to seize them. This is his advice to those of his age.
When asked about the future and the career he envisions for himself, his answer was unconventional, stemming from his personal experiences. He believes that entrepreneurship is the ideal path, providing him with the greatest opportunity to experiment and the widest space to achieve his ambitions.
Mohammed concluded his speech with a phrase that sums up his philosophy in life:
"Try everything. Do not fear failure. Experience is the only way to self-discovery. Opportunities are abundant, but they do not come to those who wait—they come to those who seek them."
Mohammed Al-Aqnam is a model that embodies the impact of effective partnerships—partnerships that are not measured by the resources they provide but by the profound effect they leave in empowering young talents and opening new horizons for them.
