A Saudi-Made Car, Venture to Global Horizons

Ali Al-Yousef, a member of the "Venture" team that won the Formula 1 in Schools competition, shares his experience:
"Our team consists of six members, and this was our first attempt without any prior experience. Driven by passion, we set creative goals and decided to stand out through innovative work. With the support of the Abdul Moinim Al-Rashed Humanitarian Foundation and, by the grace of God, we managed to win and qualify for the next stage."

Regarding their participation in the competition, Al-Yousef added:
"The foundation played a major role in supporting us. They taught us how to use 3D printing, which enabled us to print the car's wing and tires. We also used the design software 'Fusion 360' to develop the car's model. We learned a lot about physical design standards, as some designs that seem promising at first might turn out to be impractical or fragile."

To foster innovation and education in sports, science, and technology, the Abdul Moinim Al-Rashed Humanitarian Foundation provided sponsorship and support for qualified teams in Al-Ahsa to participate in the national stage of the Formula 1 in Schools competition. This international competition aims to enhance youth skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), where teams must design and manufacture a scaled Formula 1 car using the latest design and manufacturing tools.

At the competition’s closing ceremony in Dhahran, it was announced that the "Venture" team had qualified for the global stage to compete with teams from over 50 countries worldwide. The team showcased a remarkable passion for engineering and design, collaborating to develop their prototype car using cutting-edge technology at the "Fab Lab Al-Ahsa" facilities. The team achieved outstanding success by winning two major awards:

    • The Fastest Car Award
    • The Best Engineering Design Award
Additionally, the team earned the title of the fastest car in Saudi Arabia, marking this milestone as a significant step in their journey toward global recognition.

The Abdul Moinim Al-Rashed Humanitarian Foundation takes pride in supporting talent and creativity, considering these achievements as evidence of its commitment to empowering youth and opening new horizons for them to achieve excellence and innovation.
