Under the patronage of His Excellency the General Director of Al-Ahsa Education, Mr. Hamad bin Muhammad Al-Issa, the Abdulmonem Al-Rashed Humanitarian Foundation held a ceremony honoring the winners of the Abdulmonem Al-Rashed & his Sons’ grant to qualify for admission to the top 50 universities in the world. The scholarships are offered by the Foundation in partnership with the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba” and with Al-Ahsa General Administration for Education. 13 male and female students were honored: 8 scholarship winners in the gold category and 5 winners in the silver category. These students were selected after they met the scholarship criteria and passed the personal interviews conducted by the scholarship committee which consisted of:

• Mr. Abdulmohsen Al-Sultan, the Executive Director of the Abdulmonem Al-Rashed Humanitarian Foundation

• Mr. Omar Al-Hassan and Mr. Abdullah Al-Safi are the two representatives of the Foundation.

As for the Al-Ahsa Education Department, it was represented by:

• Mr. Abdullah Al-Subaie, the Director of the Male Talent Department

•   Ms. Kholoud Al-Sultan, the Director of the Female Talent Department

Ms. Eman Al-Jughayman, the supervisor in Female Talent Department

It is worth noting that the scholarships offer male and female students the opportunity to join the “Mawhiba” (lit.  talent) program or the "Excellence Program" which will help them enroll in prestigious universities. Through this program an integrated training course is offered.  This course lasts for one year; it aims at qualifying and preparing students who got the scholarships to obtain admission so that they study in prestigious American universities that are ranked among the top 50 universities in the world.
